Dzintars Rasnačs is the Minister of Justice of Latvia since November 2014, as well as from December 1995 till November 1998. During the Latvian Presidency of the Council of the European Union under leadership of Dzintars Rasnačs Justice and Home Affairs Council reached an agreement on the compromise text of the General Data Protection Regulation. Dzintars Rasnačs has been Member of the Saeima (Parliament) for 14 years, since 1998 when he was first elected in the Parliament of Latvia. Dzintars Rasnačs has been a Member of Presidium throughout three parliamentary terms, but a Member of the Legal Committee during four parliamentary terms.

Raivis Kronbergs is working in the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Latvia since 2007. Since May, 2014 he is the State Secretary of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Latvia. One of the Ministry's functions is to develop and coordinate the policy of personal data protection. Since October 2016 Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Latvia implements Twinning project "Capacity Building of the National Centre for Personal Data Protection of the Republic of Moldova" and Raivis Kronbergs supervises the implementation. Data protection issues - legislative and application - is his daily work. Raivis Kronbergs addresses all issues with practical examples, is rational and says "no" to bureaucracy.

During the Latvian Presidency in the Council of the European Union in 2015 Jekaterina Macuka was the chair person of the EU Council working party “Data protection and information exchange working party” (DAPIX). Under her leadership GDPR discussions on EU Council working party level was finished. Since October 2017 Jekaterina Macuka is the Counsellor on data protection of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Latvia in the Republic of Moldova - Resident Twinning adviser in Twinning project “Capacity Building of the National Centre for Personal Data Protection of the Republic of Moldova”.

Glen Grant graduated from the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, the Junior Staff Course Warminster and the Joint Staff Defence College at the Royal Naval College Greenwich. His key work in the last twenty years has been delivering reform and change for defence and security organisations in Europe. He has worked in the Defence Ministries of Ukraine, Latvia, Estonia, Bulgaria, Montenegro, Moldova, Poland, Kosovo, Serbia and Chile. During his 37 year military career Glen commanded the UK Military Prison and an Artillery battery of 8 tracked guns. He worked on the operational and policy staffs in many different British and NATO Headquarters This work involved him supporting many operations including both Gulf wars, Bosnia and Kosovo. In 2016 Glen was Project Manager in MOD Ukraine running a one year UK funded project “Reform of Defence Housing” and in 2018 published a ground breaking paper on reform of the Ukraine military. He is a skilled change manager with a Masters degree in the leadership of change from York St John University in UK.
